We finally have a specific launch date for the upcoming all-electric GMC Hummer: October 20, 2020. Book it, ladies and gentlemen.

However, as with all the teasers that GMC has released so far, not a lot of details came along with this recent announcement. For whatever reason, the carmaker just loves to keep everyone hanging—it has done so each time since it first confirmed the Hummer EV’s arrival back in January.

That said, the latest teaser does give us a glimpse of the next-generation Hummer’s infotainment system, which apparently will have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility (wireless, we hope), external cameras, and a selectable ‘Trailering’ mode. It will also have an optional ‘Crab’ mode, one that will supposedly be available along with ‘Adrenaline’ mode as mentioned in one of our previous stories. You can see one of the two modes in action through the clip below:

So, adding these to the list of tidbits we’ve collected so far, what do we have? There’s already word that the electric pickup will boast 1,000hp and 15,574Nm of torque which will let it go from 0-97kph in just 3sec. It will also have a removable roof, ‘ultra-vision’ cameras, and super-fast charging, among many other features.

We’ve all been waiting for quite some time now for this vehicle to finally break cover, so we can wait one more month. Will celebrities and rappers flock to the Hummer like before? We will know on October 20.
