We reported last week that the all-new Honda CR-V is arriving on our shores this month, and that it will have seven seats and a turbodiesel engine. Well, Christmas came early this August, because Honda Cars Philippines has just launched its newest compact SUV.
In all, there are four variants of the fifth-generation CR-V available: a 2.0-liter gasoline five-seater, and three diesel options with seven seats. The base gasoline variant has an i-VTEC engine capable of 152hp and 189Nm mated to a CVT. The diesel variants come with a 1.6-liter i-DTEC turbodiesel with 118hp and a torquey 300Nm, paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The top-of-the-line diesel comes with all-wheel drive.
Prices for the all-new CR-V are as follows:
* SX Diesel AWD – P2,049,000
* S Diesel – P1,759,000
* V Diesel – P1,569,000
* 2.0S CVT – P1,539,000
Available colors include: Passion Red Pearl and Lunar Silver Metallic for the SX and S Diesels, and Dark Olive Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, and White Orchid Pearl for all variants. The last color will set you back an additional P20,000.
Starting August 9, all Honda dealerships will start accepting reservations. The five-seater gasoline is already available, while the diesels are expected for delivery by the end of September. Who's reserving a unit?
