Earlier this year, Hyundai Philippines revealed the Kona at the Manila International Auto Show. A new Korean crossover is always a big deal, especially when it competes directly with the likes of the Nissan Juke, Honda HR-V, and Mazda CX-3.

At the time, the price of the Kona wasn't confirmed yet. Now, Hyundai has quietly revealed the official figure. It costs P1,048,000, which is pretty competitive for the segment. It's only P27,000 more than the Juke, and over P100,000 cheaper than the base CX-3 or HR-V.

For that price, you get a 2.0-liter gasoline mill with 147hp and 179Nm, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. On the outside, it sports a funky design complete with thin headlights and bi-color A-pillars. Inside is a floating-type radio with Bluetooth capability. Other features include tire pressuring monitoring, auto up/down power window for the driver, daytime running lights, and cruise control.

Hyundai also revealed the price of the all-new Santa Fe, which was next to the Kona on the MIAS floor. That costs P2,338,000. It's powered by a 2.2-liter CRDi engine capable of 197hp and 441Nm.
