When it comes to pickups, Isuzu is without a doubt one of the most active carmakers in the segment. Here in the Philippines, the Japanese carmaker releases a new D-Max variant just about every year. Sometimes, the updates are very subtle—but they’re always to the delight of car buyers who are in the market for a new truck.
Apparently, if Isuzu UK’s new Utah V-Cross variant is any indication, this might be the case in markets like Europe as well.
The Utah V-Cross isn’t going to blow you away. It doesn’t pack a performance engine, oversized rims, or a menacingly aggressive bodykit. Nope, none of that here. Like we said, Isuzu has kept things subtle.
The pickup truck rolls on new 18-inch wheels with a V-spoke design, and wears some attractive red accents on the lower fascia. Inside, there’s some added convenience: The glovebox area has been fitted with a wireless smartphone charger featuring a non-slip pad (probably handy for bumpy, off-road driving conditions), and the touchscreen infotainment system now displays video from the new front camera while parking or maneuvering in tight areas.
That’s it. Again, it’s not much—but these minor changes show the extent to which the brand will go to please its fans and attract more customers. Do you like how often Isuzu releases refreshed units and new variants? Let us know in the comments.
