Last week, we reported that Isuzu Thailand had released a teaser video showcasing a refreshed MU-X. Now, the Japanese carmaker has revealed the new SUV, which you can check out in the video above.

The changes to the midsize SUV are mostly cosmetic, as you’d expect. The front grille gets a minor but sportier redesign, as does the bumper and foglight housing. The rear bumper gets a tweak as well. There are new LED head and taillights, with the former equipped with daytime running lights. Underneath are new 18-inch alloy wheels, up one inch from the pre-facelift version. A new color (Havana Brown) completes the exterior updates.

The interior essentially looks similar to before, with a few changes. The semi-leather seats have a new design, while the front and door panels have been upgraded with soft touch and wooden materials. There is also a new eight-inch touchscreen infotainment panel. Capping this off is a new and much sleeker instrument cluster.

Power-wise, the new Thai-spec MU-X is available with a choice of turbodiesel engines; either a 3.0-liter mill capable of 177hp and 380Nm, or a 1.9-liter lump with 150hp and 350Nm. The 3.0-liter is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.9-liter can be had with either the auto or a six-speed manual box.

The refreshed MU-X, it seems, is targeting a more premium kind of midsize SUV buyer. We'll definitely keep an eye out for it at the upcoming Bangkok International Motor Show. Do you guys like the new look? If so, do you want to see it on our shores?
