Kia has updated the Rio compact car in time for the 2014 Paris Motor Show this month.
"The Rio retains the core attributes that have proved so popular with owners, and enhancements to the 2014 model include a slight visual makeover, giving it a fresh exterior and interior look," said Kia Motors Europe chief operating officer Michael Cole.
The updated Rio sports a redesigned tiger-nose grille, new front and rear bumpers, and fog lights. Two new paint finishes--Urban Blue and Digital Yellow--round out the revision to the exterior. Updates for the interior include chrome accents around the air vents and a newly designed center stack.
More updates, particularly for the European-market version, are start/stop technology, advanced alternator control, upgraded starter motor, and low-rolling resistance tires.
The updated Rio is due to go on sale--in Europe, at least--in the first half of 2015.
