Kia tickles imagination with what may be its next-gen subcompact car

Kia is teasing us with what its next-generation subcompact car might look like. Here is a not-so-detailed image of the concept car that the Korean carmaker will reveal at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Described by Kia as \"playful but gutsy, sturdy yet impish,\" the vehicle supposedly hints at a possible subcompact contender that\'s \"ready to take on the urban environment with style and tenacity.\"

Although Kia claims that there are no plans to put the car into production, its unveiling in Frankfurt will reportedly be used to \"gauge potential customer response for future showroom models.\"

Let\'s hope this one is a looker.
