The rain and Friday traffic may have been in full force, but they didn't stop the festivities for Mercedes-Benz Philippines. The German carmaker launched the new GLA with a ritzy display at the Greenbelt Fashion Walk last week. With #GrowUpPH as its motto, the compact SUV is targeted at maturing buyers in need of a more practical ride.
Compared to the pre-facelift version, the new GLA's design looks more seamless and well-integrated. Exterior changes include a redesigned front fascia, new rear bumper, new light alloy wheels, and LED lights. Inside, the look is largely similar, with minor tweaks like a revised instrument cluster and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
The new GLA is available in two variants. The 180 Urban has a four-cylinder 1.6-liter engine with 122hp and 200Nm. The 200 AMG, meanwhile, sports a turbocharged 1.6-liter mill with 156hp and 250Nm. Prices are as follows:
*180 Urban - P2,790,000
*200 AMG - P3,090,000
