The Taycan, Porsche’s first-ever full-electric sports car, is coming to the Philippines. PGA Cars, the brand’s official local distributor, has announced the EV’s impending arrival and, naturally, we’re excited.

No exact details yet regarding what will be made available locally, but the vehicle is available in other markets in three variants. The top-of-the-line Taycan Turbo S is capable of a combined 625hp and a ridiculous 1,025Nm courtesy of its front and rear motors.

The entry-level version, meanwhile, does 523hp and 640Nm.

The flagship Turbo S is very impressive. Those figures are good enough for a 0-100kph time of just 2.8sec and a driving range of up to 412km. There’s a good bit of practicality here as far as electric sports cars go, too, as this EV can charge up from 5% to 80% in a little over 22 minutes.

All that performance is on top of the vehicle’s ultra-clean look—this is an EV done in a way only Porsche can deliver. Those multi-unit headlights and the option of white accents on 21-inch wheels, in particular, are nice touches. The Taycan’s cockpit carries the exterior’s sleek look and builds on it with a curved instrument cluster, a large 10.9-inch infotainment display, and the use of premium recycled materials instead of the usual leather.
