It’s finally here. Honda Cars Philippines has launched the all-new Brio in the Philippines, and we now have the vehicle’s official local prices and variants.
The Brio’s new design is now in line with the rest of the Japanese car manufacturer’s lineup, with aggressive swept-back headlights, and a tail end that looks much sleeker and sportier than the previous generation’s rear. Basically, the car now looks like a shortened Honda Mobilio—a good look if you ask us.
The interior’s not as quirky as before, and whether that’s a good or bad thing is in the eye of the beholder. There’s a nicer dashboard design and a more minimalist feel inside, as well as a better application of plastic materials. Anyone who found the last Brio a bit too cramped will be happy to know there’s more space in the cabin now, too.
Powering the all-new Brio is a 1.2-liter gasoline engine capable of 89hp and 110Nm. That’s a 10hp and 17Nm drop versus the outgoing model, but the latest car does run on a newer CVT compared to the previous one’s five-speed automatic transmission. Available colors include Carnival Yellow, Taffeta White, Modern Steel Metallic, Rallye Red, and the RS-exclusive Phoenix Orange Pearl.
