The face-lifted Honda HR-V has just been revealed in Thailand. On the outside, it sports some minor but noticeable changes such as a new front fascia with a honeycomb grille and a larger chrome strip, new LED headlamps with daytime running lights, and LED strip-type foglights.

The new RS variant gets black cladding along the bottom and haunches. Underneath are new 17-inch alloy wheels, and up top is a panoramic sunroof. And speaking of the new RS-spec HR-V, that one is available in the new Red Pearl paint job pictured here.

Powering the new HR-V is the same 1.8-liter i-VTEC with 141hp and 172Nm. Added safety tech includes warning and brake assist at low speeds. Honda's Thailand COO Pitak Pritthisirikorn explains that the refresh is aimed at adding some sporty styling to the crossover, and that their target is to sell 18,000 units per year.

Are we next in line for the refreshed HR-V? If the law of ASEAN automotive launches is to be believed, what comes out in Thailand is sure to follow in the Philippines sooner or later. That's where most of our units come from, anyway. Let the speculation begin.
