It's not easy to miss a van the size of the Hyundai Grand Starex, but it seems that's exactly what's happened. Hyundai Asia Resources, the country's official distributor of Hyundai vehicles, hasn't said a word about the face-lifted version arriving in the country. Yet according to a Facebook post by a dealer, it's actually been on sale for a while now.
The post dates back to last month, and advertises the new Grand Starex as available for P2,085,000. A quick glance at Hyundai Philippines' website shows the same number, so the info is legit.
The new van sports a few changes, most notably the grille which now features thinner chrome strips. The headlamps are also different, now sweeping sideways instead of upwards. The foglights are smaller and more rectangular, housed in new black cladding.
Underneath, there are new bi-color alloy wheels and the side mirrors get their own signal lights. Judging by the photo, it looks to be a 10-seater like the older variants. The website lists the van as having a 2.5-liter CRDi paired to a five-speed automatic, with power figures sitting at 168hp and 441Nm.
What do you guys think of the refreshed Grand Starex?
