Are you dizzy yet from all the new-car launches our market has seen this year? We hope you aren't, because more new models are arriving this second half of 2015--including the all-new Suzuki Celerio. First unveiled by the Japanese automaker in India in February 2014, the mini hatchback is finally hitting Philippine showrooms in a couple of weeks, as Suzuki Philippines is scheduled to officially introduce it on August 5th.
Today, the local Suzuki distributor sent us information on the new Celerio's pricing and features. To be powered by the outgoing model's 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine (K10B) rated at 67hp and 90Nm, the diminutive hatchback will have the following price tags:
* Celerio MT - P507,000
* Celerio CVT - P542,000
Yes, you read that right--CVT.
If you visit a Suzuki showroom now, you may avail of a P20,000 discount if you make an early reservation.
"We are very excited to introduce our A+ compact car to the Filipino market," says Suzuki Philippines president Hiroshi Suzuki in a statement. "With its superior design, best-in-class luggage capacity, superb ease of driving, and outstanding fuel efficiency, we are confident that the all-new Celerio is set to be the new standard in its segment."
According to Suzuki, the new Celerio has a longer body and wheelbase--as well as a bigger headroom--compared to its predecessor.
