In August, we reported that Nissan Philippines was finally bringing the Juke subcompact crossover to our market, and that company president Toti Zara hoped to price it "under P1 million."
Well, the official launch took place today, and the great news is that Nissan was able to make good on its informal promise. The Juke, ladies and gentlemen, will sell for P980,000. Almost a million bucks, but still a good P20,000 below the crucial pricing threshold. That's for the solitary 4x2 CVT variant for now, which is powered by a 1.6-liter HR16DE gasoline engine rated at 114hp and 154Nm.
Four exterior colors will be available to Filipino buyers: Red Alert, Solar Yellow, Pearl White and Black Obsidian.
And just as we've already announced, Nissan Philippines says it expects to commence sales by January 2016. We will come up with a separate article for the complete list of specs and features. Watch for it.
