Back in May, Volkswagen Philippines shook up the local auto scene by revamping its lineup and introducing the Santana—the German carmaker's most affordable offering in our market to date. But if you thought the company was done for 2018, you thought wrong.
Coming this November are new variants of the aforementioned subcompact sedan, and more models—the Lamando, and the Santana GTS. The manufacturer made the announcement earlier today, and fans of the brand should be excited.
The Santana 1.5 MPI AT Trendline (yes, there's an automatic variant now) and Comfortline, as well as the Santana GTS 1.5 MPI AT Comfortline, will share a more potent 1.5-liter engine capable of 108hp and 150Nm. Meanwhile, the Lamando 280 TSI DSG Comfortline and Highline will run on 1.4-liter mills with an output of 148hp and 250Nm.
If you're interested in driving these cars home, you're in luck. Volkswagen Philippines is celebrating its 5th anniversary as a member of the Ayala Group, and has made the vehicles available at special introductory rates. Check them out below:

All the cars will come with either three years or 100,000km (whichever comes first) warranty. In addition to this, Volkswagen Philippines is offering a three-year warranty on paint and another three-year warranty for corrosion of the main steel body structure.
What's more, the carmaker says it has structured its periodic maintenance service (PMS) with its customers' convenience in mind: Either once a year, or every 10,000km (whichever comes first).
