Fernando Alonso may drive a Ferrari F10 F1 car whenever he's working on a grand prix weekend, but for his days off the two-time world champion chooses to drive a more leisurely car for his daily commute--a Maserati GranCabrio.
Alonso recently took delivery of the GranCabrio which sports a dark gray Grigio Granito exterior which is in contrast to the two-tone Pearl Beige and Bordeaux leather upholstery of the interior. The GranCabrio's soft top, which folds up in 20 seconds, matches the interiors.
Powering Alonso's GranCabrio is a 4.7-liter V8 engine that delivers 440hp and this is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
"Fernando Alonso was particularly impressed by the space offered by the GranCabrio, perfect for four adult passengers," Maserati said in a statement. The GranCabrio is the first four-seat convertible in Maserati's 96-year history.
The Maserati GranCabrio officially goes on sale in Europe this month.
