In production since 2007, the modern Fiat 500 recently reached a milestone as the one millionth unit of the Italian carmaker's city car rolled out of its factory in Poland.

The record-breaking model is painted in three-layer Funk White and fitted with a 1.2-liter, 69hp engine. According to Fiat, it is a unique car like all the others it has produced so far.

"In fact, thanks to the thousands of possible combinations--combining exterior colors, interiors, engines, fuel systems and equipment--of the million units produced, it is really hard to find two identical Fiat 500s," the carmaker said in a statement.

In the past five years that the Fiat 500 has been in production, it "has introduced many innovations and achieved important records in its segment."

According to Fiat, the 500 was the first to offer seven airbags as standard; the first car to offer a range of over 1 million possible customizations; the first car that's only 3.55m long to win "five Euro NCAP stars"; the first car to offer the advanced electronic stability program on all engines; the first car to offer 100 original specially designed accessories; and the first Fiat Group car to carry the revolutionary two-cylinder TwinAir engine family.
