Buyers of the next-generation Ford Focus may soon choose from over 200 unique vinyl wrap tattoos of varying designs at FordCustomGraphics.com. The designs range from geometric patterns to racing stripes to whimsical images like splashes and swirls.
The tattoo designs were developed by Original Wraps. According to its chief executive Tom Stemple, the tattoos offer customers the look of a custom paint job at only half the cost. Stemple also said the tattoos are made only when an order has been placed.
The tattoos are made with 3M Scotchprint Personalized Vehicle Graphic Film, which is protected by a clear graphic layer. The tattoos are professionally installed at Ford dealerships and include a three-year or over 57,000-kilometers limited warranty.
A Ford Focus tattoo can cost from $120 to $470 and is removable. This will provide Ford's younger customers an economical way to "grow with their car."
"People are holding on to their vehicles longer, and the way we identify ourselves today may not be the way we want to express ourselves tomorrow," said Sheryl Connelly, Ford's global trends and futuring manager. "Customers can easily change the tattoos as their life situation and style evolves."
Graphics for the next-generation Ford Focus are expected to go online in mid-January. Do you think Ford Group Philippines should offer this option to local Focus buyers?
