Honda Cars Philippines has launched the first locally produced augmented reality (AR) technology in the country through its online game called Chompin' Jazz.
In the game, augmented reality allows players to bring the Jazz around a maze where the car loads up various utility items.
"We are very excited to be the first in the Philippines to integrate AR technology in our Jazz online game," said Honda president and general manager Hiroshi Shimizu. "In this digital age, we are providing everyone a revolutionary experience of playing with the Jazz, with the comfort and convenience of just a click away."
To play Chompin' Jazz, one needs an Internet connection, a web camera and the AR code found in the website www.hondajazzfuv.com or Honda Jazz Philippines’ Facebook page. The downloaded AR code should be printed and held up to the web camera.
“By this time, you are now ready to play by simply moving the AR code to virtually move the Honda Jazz,” said Voltaire Gonzales, Honda Cars vehicle sales and corporate communications head. “The objective of the game is to fill up the Jazz’ big appetite for utility. We have reserved exciting prizes for high score players so better brush up on your gaming skills.”
Honda has dubbed the Jazz as a Fun Utility Vehicle that comes with class-leading power, superior fuel economy, huge storage space encased in a small packaging. It has versatile seats which may be configured to accommodate a bunch of stuff in various sizes.
