The third-generation Mazda 3 has proven to be a success story in the Philippines. The compact is actually the best-selling Mazda model in the country. With the recent unveiling of the all-new 3 in the Philippines, it’s only a matter of time before a new version is displayed at local Mazda dealerships.
Mazda Philippines president Steven Tan shared with us that on the manufacturer’s end, the inventory of 2018 3 units has been completely cleared out. And there won’t be any more coming in, either—the Japan factories where our Mazda units are made have already ceased production of the third-generation model to make room for the new one.
The question is, are there still brand-new units of the old 3 available for sale at dealerships? We asked Mazda sales manager Patrick Manigbas for some insight. He explained that yes, there are still some available at the dealership level, but he doesn’t expect them to remain unsold for very long. He also shared that Soul Red was by far the most popular color among 3 buyers. That said, customers would be hard-pressed now to find a brand-new unit in that color.
So if you’ve been thinking about buying a brand-new, third-generation Mazda 3, you better get one while stocks last.
