The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) has released the dates of the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, and this year, the event will be held from October 24 to November 4 with the theme of ‘Open Future.’
That’s 12 days of the region’s biggest launches and hottest concepts all under one roof. Like in 2017, the show will take place at the Tokyo Big Sight and its surrounding areas. According to JAMA, 186 companies and organizations from seven countries are already set to take part.
In addition to the displays at Tokyo Big Sight, the 46th annual Tokyo Motor Show will also have a 1.5km open display connecting the main venue to the Aomi area. Here, visitors will get the chance to experience a “vast mobility theme park” and a “typical day in the near future.” JAMA adds that various sections of this year’s show will be open to the public free of charge.
A ton of cars are expected to debut at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show, including the next-generation Honda Jazz (and its rumored Type R variant, if it is indeed a real thing). The event takes place only once every two years, so it’s definitely worth dropping by.
