In production since 2007, the current Jeep Wrangler known internally within the American truckmaker as the JK model, is celebrating a production milestone as the one-millionth unit rolled off the assembly line at the Chrysler Group\'s Toledo, Ohio, assembly complex.
\"Every Jeep Wrangler sold to customers around the world is born in Toledo, Ohio,\" said Chrysler Group\'s vice president for vehicle assembly operations, Mauro Pino. \"Since this facility opened eight years ago, the Toledo workforce has built every one of those million vehicles with pride, passion and a focus on quality. We all look forward to building the next million.\"
Pino, together with an officer of the United Auto Workers labor union, drove the black 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition off the final line. That Wrangler is reportedly bound for a customer in Sarasota, Florida.
