Actor Dingdong Dantes may own and drive a pricey Maserati, but don\'t be surprised if you see him behind the wheel of a Hyundai Genesis Coupe one of these days. That\'s because he has entered the automotive business by opening a new Hyundai dealership in Parañaque together with several business partners.
The dealership, located at 89 Ninoy Aquino Road corner Pelaez Street in Barangay San Dionisio in Parañaque, is officially called Hyundai Parañaque West and held its soft opening last December 18. The company that owns and runs the dealership is WIT Auto Group Corporation, of which Dantes is vice president. Listed as the company\'s managing director and president are Irwin Tieng and Mark Sayarot, respectively.
Dantes, who refers to himself as a \"dealer principal,\" has been personally promoting his new Hyundai dealership on his Instagram account. In a post two weeks ago, he jokingly told a friend that he\'d even be the one to deliver a unit if the friend bought a vehicle from his dealership. In another post, he was recommending a Santa Fe to another friend.
According to Hyundai Asia Resources Inc., the new dealership is now open for sales, but the service facility is not fully operational yet.
