As expected, new health and sanitary protocols are in place to ensure the well-being of all employees and visitors. “Customers visiting any Ford dealership will see very clearly the safeguards that are in place—with all customers required to comply with these protocols—while having all sales and service personnel and functions available to serve them,” said Ford Philippines managing director PK Umashankar.
You’re familiar with these precautionary measures by now: No-contact temperature checks are required for anyone entering the facility, and any employee experiencing flu-like symptoms will be asked to seek medical advice and may return only when he or she is free of symptoms. Dealer personnel are also required to wear face masks and gloves at all times.
All dealerships undergo disinfection thrice daily, and their floor plans have been reorganized to enforce social distancing. Hand sanitizers are amply provided, but as an added precaution, shaking hands is not allowed.
Those interested in purchasing a vehicle may be provided remote sales support by a Ford sales professional. They may also access the carmaker’s official website and Facebook page, or get in touch with their preferred dealership by phone, for inquiries.
Ford owners with ongoing loan payments, meanwhile, may be eligible for extended credit terms or deferred monthly payments, subject to the approval of the dealer’s finance partner. Those whose vehicle warranty coverage expired during the quarantine period are advised to visit their respective Ford dealers to resolve concerns related to expired warranties.
Finally, owners who will have repairs and preventive maintenance work done on their vehicles are assured that their units will be sanitized using the recommended products and procedures after each service visit.
Updates on the reopening of other dealerships in the country will be posted on Ford Philippines’ social-media accounts. “While opening our Ford dealerships to provide in-person service is a welcome move forward, our aim is to work very closely with each of our dealers to ensure we are providing the most safe and sanitary environment possible,” said Umashankar.
