Will we be seeing Foton vehicles in the local ride-sharing scene soon? If the company has its way, we just might. Foton is pushing its Gratour seven-seater minivan as a viable carpooling or ride-hailing transport, saying the vehicle has all the qualities and standards of such a vehicle.
"Whether a ride for your carpool business, for your kids at school, for your friends’ weekend catch-up, or merely for personal purposes, the Foton Gratour has what you need," the company says. To further entice customers to consider the minivan for ride-sharing purposes, Foton is holding a special promo: you can get the Gratour for as low as P4,591 a month until March 31.
The Gratour is powered by a 1.2-liter gasoline engine. The vehicle provides occupants with convenient sliding doors on both sides, allowing for easy entering and exiting. Other highlights include folding third-row seats and decent space. You can get the car in a variety of paint jobs including Amber Bronze, Metallic Silver and Aurora White, among others.
What's more, the company says that it will reveal another surprise regarding the Foton Gratour at the upcoming 2017 Manila International Auto Show at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. If you're interested, be sure to drop by the event from March 30 to April 2.
So, do you think the Gratour will make a suitable ride-sharing vehicle?
