Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), Fuso’s new local truck and bus distributor, is ready to get down to business. The company recently held its inauguration in Muntinlupa City, and its CEO is eager to get the commercial vehicle manufacturer’s products in the hands of Filipino customers.
“We aspire for Fuso to be the first choice of commercial vehicle brand for businesses here in the Philippines,” SFP CEO Takatsugu Nitanai said during the ceremony. “We will treat it as our mission to be able to provide a Fuso truck for every need of Filipino businessmen and women.”
Fuso, which has been in the business since 1969, is now under the Daimler Group. It joins the likes of Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, and Western Star in the German corporation’s truck portfolio. Currently, Fuso offers a diverse lineup of commercial trucks, including the light-duty Canter Series, the medium-duty Fuso FI, and the heavy-duty Fuso FJ.
“Being an exclusive distributor of the Fuso brand, SFP is passionate to grow the brand and the business,” said SFP vice president for marketing and sales Mark Medina, adding that the company plans to prioritize its dealership network and after-sales support.
“At the same time, new models will be introduced in the coming months to further serve various requirements, and in parallel, the dealer network expansion will be accelerated to ensure that aftersales support is available across the country.”
Sounds promising. We’re already looking forward to what else SFP has up its sleeve regarding the Fuso brand. Any business owners here who feel the same way?
