The year 2020 proved to be a busy one for Geely Philippines. The company launched two mild-hybrid electric vehicles last year in the Azkarra and the Okavango, and it also introduced two new brand ambassadors to boot.

The carmaker also opened a trio of dealerships to close out December. Now, it is starting out 2021 on a similar note by opening yet another new facility, this time in General Santos City in Mindanao.

A step forward for Geely

This new dealership is Geely’s first in the SOCCSKSARGEN region and its second in Mindanao. It is owned and managed by Sojitz G Auto Philippines’ (SGAP) partner dealer and founder of the Southern Mindanao Automotive Association, Angcore Motor Group.

“Our partnership with Angcore Motor Group is another step forward in Geely Philippines’ bid to expand its dealer network throughout the country. I would like to welcome the Angcore Motor Group to Geely’s growing family,” said SGAP president & CEO Mikihisa Takayama.

“As Geely started to get noticed and make headlines last year with its sales performance and good market reception, I believe this year would be better for the brand. We are pleased to be part of Geely’s expansion in the country,” said Angcore Motor Group president Tobi Ang.

Geely General Santos is now open from Mondays through Saturdays, 8am to 6pm. This new dealership marks Geely’s seventh across the country. In its recent announcement, Geely also shared that it will be opening 21 new dealerships in key markets in 2021.
