Geely has been one of the bigger surprises in the local auto industry over the past couple of years. Thanks to its models’ relatively low price tags and features, the car manufacturer is slowly but surely establishing itself as a viable alternative for buyers on a budget.
The company is expanding its presence in the country, too. Just recently, Geely Philippines inaugurated two new dealerships located in Lipa, Batangas and Zamboanga. Both facilities are now operational and are open to customers from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and will be under the management of the Gateway Group of Companies and Timothy Motors Inc., respectively.
Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) president Mikihisa Takayama said that the opening of Geely’s two new local dealerships will allow the brand to reach potential buyer outside of Metro Manila: “The opening of new dealerships in other regions is part of Geely’s aim to widen its reach and cater to more customers outside Metro Manila.”
“We are looking forward to more years of partnership with SGAP as Geely starts to make it big across all regions of the country,” Timothy Motors president Oliver Cheng said in a statement.
Geely Philippines says that it plans to open even more showrooms in the near future. Are you looking forward to one of the brand’s dealerships opening near you?
