The disaster wrought by Typhoon Yolanda has brought about numerous Good Samaritans in different forms. One such individual is reportedly donating a muscle car to raise funds for the relief efforts.
From what we\'ve gathered, the car owner imported a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle (nearly identical to the one in the photo above, without the \"SS\" badge) from San Francisco, California, two years ago. Reportedly in near-mint condition, the Chevelle--painted black with white sport stripes and a white interior--has all-original body panels, is fully tax-paid and is registered with the Land Transportation Office\'s main branch in Diliman, Quezon City.
According to our source, the original plan was for the car to be sold to a direct buyer with the proceeds going to the Sagip Kapamilya foundation, which was what the car\'s owner specified. That has changed since we\'ve been told that the car will be auctioned off instead.
Although our source refused to divulge who exactly the owner of the Chevelle is, he did describe her as \"rather cute.\" That\'s right, a member of the fairer sex apparently owns the muscle car.
So, how much would you bid for this classic American muscle car? More important, who is this \"cute\" female personality who seems to be a fan of such vehicles, is willing to let go of such prized possession for a good cause, and is somewhat connected to ABS-CBN?
We\'ll let you know more about the car, its mystery owner and the auction once it pushes through.
