Buying a car under the new normal is, again, going to take some getting used to.

Customers are going to have to deal with a ton of new protocols meant to combat the spread of COVID-19, including but not limited to wearing masks at dealerships and scheduling showroom visits well in advance. Slowly but surely, though, carmakers are finding ways to make the buying experience as hassle-free as possible with a little help from the Internet.

Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) has the right idea. The company's website is offering customers a new safe and convenient way to apply for auto loans without the need to leave the comfort of their own home: The Auto Loan Link page.

Basically, this is a website wherein customers can check out all of Honda’s partner banks. Once a customer chooses a bank, he or she will immediately be directed to its auto loan website. Simple, but effective.

“During these trying times, we are one with the country’s continuing fight against COVID-19 and this is one of the ways that we are adapting to the new normal,” HCPI president Masahiko Nakamura said in a statement.

“One of our top priorities during this challenging time is to provide a more convenient and safer way for our customers to purchase a car while staying in the comforts of their home,” Nakamura added.
