As far as local auto industry promos are concerned, July 2020 was one hell of a month—arguably the busiest dealers have been in a long while.
A lot of the deals popping up are, of course, due to the impact of COVID-19. Dealerships want to make up for the past few months of inactivity because of the coronavirus, and what better way to get people interested in buying cars than by, well, holding a promo. And man, some of this month’s promos were downright crazy.

Cash discounts on the Honda City, Civic, and CR-V
July 2020 might be the best time to pull the trigger on a Honda if you plan on paying in cash. The Japanese car manufacturer is currently offering a handful of vehicles (including some older models) with huge cash discounts this month. The Civic, CR-V, and City are some of the bigger names included in the promo.
P100,000 off the Mazda 3, 6, CX-30 and CX-5
This is one hell of a way to celebrate a birthday. Mazda Philippines is currently offering a handful of its vehicles with discounts to celebrate 100 years in business. How much is the company slashing off its prices? Well, P100,000, of course. There are also P50,000 discounts on the lower tier variants.
P125,000 cash discount on Toyota Vios
The Japanese carmaker is currently holding a promo that applies up to a P125,000 cash discount on the popular subcompact sedan, depending on what variant you choose. The Vios is also available for monthly payments as low as P6,571—G Prime, E Prime, G, E, and XLE units come with a five-year warranty.
TMP is also offering the Hilux with up to an P80,000 cash discount, while special offers are also available for select variants of the Corolla Altis, Avanza, Rush, Innova, Fortuner, and Hiace. Select variants of many Toyota models also come with free periodic maintenance for up to 20,000km, and the new Wigo can be had with one free year of comprehensive insurance.
Ford Ranger Raptor after-sales package
For the month of July, Ford Philippines is throwing in an after-sales maintenance package worth P100,000 with every purchase of the Ranger Raptor. The package, which is called the Ranger Raptor Premium Care program, includes free scheduled service maintenance for five years (or 50,000km), a five-year (or 150,000km) vehicle warranty, and five years of emergency roadside assistance.
Up to P200,000 cash discount on a brand-new Subaru
As luck would have it, it’s Tanabata Festival in Japan, one of the country’s most celebrated traditions in which one of its customs include writing wishes on paper. So if you are in the market for a new car, maybe even hoping to drive home a BRZ or a WRX STi, Motor Image Pilipinas (MIP), the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the country, is giving out cash discounts and zero down payments.
Up to P1.49 million discount on Land Rover vehicles
The arrival of the Jaguar I-Pace and the Range Rover plug-in hybrid EVs isn’t the only big announcement Coventry Motors (CMC) has for July—it also has a massive promo available until the end of the month.
And when we say massive, we mean it: Select Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles can be had with over a million pesos in discounts this month. Through the ‘Reach New Heights Offers,’ the Range Rover Sport SVR 5.0 and the Range Rover Vogue 3.0 are both available at P1,490,000 less than the regular asking price. Meanwhile, Jaguar F-Type Coupe 3.0 is being offered with a P1,190,000 discount through the ‘Jaguar July Journey’ promo.
