Ford Philippines is launching the EcoSport mini SUV on January 30. To help create excitement for the car\'s arrival, the company created a marketing campaign around it called \"EcoSport Urban Discoveries.\" Basically, it\'s a contest that invites you to submit an interesting \"urban discovery\" by sending a photo not exceeding 4MB, with a caption not exceeding 500 characters.
The deadline for submitting your urban discovery is on January 30, the day of the EcoSport launch. (The contest actually started on January 3.) If your entry is good enough, you might make it to a short list of 30 official participants. And if you make it as a participant, you will then have to produce an audition video. From these 30 hopefuls, six finalists will be chosen.
The six finalists will be the very first people to drive the all-new EcoSport (at least in our market), bringing it to a few urban discoveries in their respective cities. They will then make blog entries out of this experience via photos and videos.
The overall winner gets \"a 60-day EcoSport Urban Adventure,\" which consists of a 60-day lend-out of an all-new Ford EcoSport 1.5L Titanium AT, and EcoSport Urban Discoveries gift certificates worth P40,000.

Okay. Now, Ford Philippines is giving us an exclusive peek into the production of the video. The video was shot in historic places around Manila City, particularly Luneta, the National Museum, Quiapo, Binondo and Jones Bridge. In the photos below, you will see some of the equipment used for the shoot, including GoPro cameras and remote-control toy cars.
According to Ford, during one scene shot under Jones Bridge, \"we had a fire truck on standby to create a puddle effect. In the middle of the shoot, the fire truck had to leave--duty calls.\"
