If you\'re the type of car owner who likes to personally attend to his ride\'s regular upkeep--like our columnist Andy Leuterio--it\'s likely that you also pay attention to the brand of car-care products that you use. If you are exactly the kind of car owner we just mentioned, you might want to check out Turtle Wax\'s new Ice line of products, launched last weekend at the SMX Center in SM Aura.

The way we understand it is that this Ice line is Turtle Wax\'s premium range of products, which include the Ice Wax, the Ice Car Wash, the Ice Detailer and the Ice Interior. To demonstrate these products\' car-cleaning capabilities, a couple of buff dudes--accompanied by Turtle Wax Asia-Pacific regional manager Dermot Maconaghie--flew in just to, um, buff cars in front of the media and VIP guests.

\"Turtle Wax Ice has been very successful in the US, and we want the Philippines to have access to this product,\" said Maconaghie. \"When we originally launched in 2006, we made breakthroughs in the market. We have the best product attributes that none of our competitors have.\"

We don\'t know what those attributes are, but this product line seems worthy of your consideration, if only for the fact that the men in the photos look good waxing the cars.

Speaking of looking good, Ara Dacay, the senior vice president of Wilstark Marketing Corporation, the official distributor of Turtle Wax in the country, used to be a Traffic Stopper.

\"The Philippines is finally ready for Turtle Wax Ice,\" proclaimed Dacay. \"We are excited to reintroduce this revolutionary product that has taken the international car-care market by storm. It is our best wax to date in terms of shine and protection. We\'re constantly pushing the boundaries by making innovative products that make life easier for Filipinos. We\'re thinking of smarter ways to shine.\"

Not sure if those words really came from her or from Turtle Wax\'s new \"PR representative,\" Christopher Kho, who recently stepped down as editor-in-chief of another automotive website.
