It’s been one busy year for Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), and it seems the company is ending it on an even higher note as it officially inked new agreements to open two new dealerships in Mindanao by early next year.

IPC, represented by president Hajime Koso and executive vice president Shojiro Sakoda, officially signed the agreement for Isuzu Tagum with Image Motors Davao Del Norte Inc, which was then represented by president Walter Alvarez and managing director Edward Bangayan. This dealership will be strategically located near the intersection of three major road network systems connecting the City of Tagum in Davao del Norte to the rest of the Mindanao region. IPC already broke ground for the Tagum dealership last July, and construction is expected to be completed this coming May.

The second agreement was for the establishment of Isuzu Pagadian, which IPC signed with Northern Mindanao Automotive Dealership Inc. represented by general manager George Ongchua. This dealership, on the other hand, will be situated at the center of Zamboanga Peninsula and will cater to the truck needs of Pagadian.

Over the course of 2019, the Japanese carmaker deployed multiple modern public utility vehicle (PUV) units in support of the government’s PUV Modernization Program. The carmaker also launched a few new vehicles, such as the MU-X Boondock, the D-Max Boondock and LS-A, and the Traviz lightweight truck. With these new dealerships set to open over the next few months alone, 2020 is already shaping up to be just as loaded for IPC.
