Despite the COVID-19 crisis, 2020 was still pretty good for Lamborghini.

The Italian carmaker delivered 7,430 cars across the globe last year, reflecting only a 9% decrease from the year prior. This slight drop is attributed to the production shutdown caused by the pandemic. However, what’s more noteworthy here is the company posted a record for deliveries to customers during the second half of the year.

Lamborghini Urus tops the list

Of the aforementioned total, the Urus was the most successful model with 4,391 units delivered. As for its top markets, Lamborghini delivered 2,224 cars to the United States, 607 to Germany, 604 to mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau, 600 to Japan, 517 to the UK, and 347 to Italy.

The carmaker also shared that it sold 2,193 V10 Huracans and 846 V12 Aventadors last year. It also said that it has a “robust order portfolio” for 2021 and that more than half of the year’s planned production has already been assigned.

Competitive despite global challenges

In addition to its sales and delivery figures, another notable statistic from last year is Lamborghini’s six new product launches. The said products were namely: the Huracan EVO RWD coupe launched in January and the Spyder launched in May, the Sian Roadster, the Essenza SCV12, the Huracan STO, and the one-off SC20.
