It's only been a few weeks, but it's felt like forever for the many commuters who have had to go around the city without Uber's services. They've had to deal with everything from endless terminal lines, lack of Grab cars, and of course, errant taxi drivers. Finally, there's a reason to celebrate.
According to a report by CNN Philippines, the The LTFRB says that the P190 million will be remitted to the national treasury.
In a statement sent via text, Uber told us: "We have complied with the requirements outlined by the LTFRB, and are grateful for the opportunity to serve the Philippines again. Our operations have resumed at 5pm."
Here's hoping that this is the end of this back-and-forth saga. In the end, it's the commuters who end up suffering. So, how are you celebrating Uber's comeback?
