It’s that time of the year again for the aftermarket community: The 2018 Manila Auto Salon and 24th Sport Truck Show are set to open at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City next week. From November 29 to December 2, 2018, the events will be attended by off-roaders and car-modification enthusiasts looking to see what’s new in the aftermarket scene.
During the 11th Manila Auto Salon last year, the show was dominated by rugged off-road vehicles sporting big tires, snorkels, and even fully decked-out setups already in monster-truck territory. The off-road scene does not know the meaning of subtlety, and we mean that in a good way—our jaws dropped many times as we went around the event hall. That said, the car-loving attendees weren’t left out. The exhibitors’ passion for supercars, JDM heroes, American muscle, and classic models was also readily seen.
This year, we’re expecting even crazier setups to be showcased. It’s going to be interesting to see which cars will win this year’s awards for Best of Show in different categories. Moreover, most of these vehicles are going to be fitted with the latest wheels, tires, paint jobs, and various other accessories available on the market, so this show really is the best place to get some inspiration if you’re planning to modify your own ride.
