With the implementation of new quarantine guidelines across the country, Mercedes-Benz has reopened its Philippine dealerships over the weekend. Now, as it resumes its operations, the carmaker—along with the Auto Nation Group—has rolled out the ‘Mercedes-Benz AI: Adapt + Innovate Program’ to adjust to the new normal.
To adapt, MB is implementing strict safety protocols at its facilities. This includes mandatory physical distancing, wearing of protective equipment, and temperature screening at all of its dealerships. Likewise, vehicles on display at showrooms and those taken out for test drives will be disinfected accordingly along with the dealership premises itself. In addition, dealership employees will undergo antibody rapid testing before returning to their posts.
Meanwhile, the company plans to innovate by enabling completely contactless transactions. Customers can now schedule service appointments and book reservations via Mercedes-Benz’s official Facebook page or website. Its sales agents, on the other hand, are equipped to conduct virtual vehicle demonstrations to potential car buyers. As for vehicle deliveries, a no-contact policy has been implemented.
The carmaker’s statement reads: “Mercedes-Benz PH is doing all these efforts and initiatives to adapt effectively and efficiently to the new reality and promises to continuously innovate to bring unparalleled experience whenever and however its clients engage with the brand.”
