It looks like Mitsubishi Motors Philippines’ (MMPC) decision to bring back the legendary L300 is continuing to pay dividends, even throughout this COVID-19 pandemic.

The carmaker has shared that in March 2021 alone, it was able to sell a total of 1,060 L300 units, reflecting an 11% month-on-month growth. In fact, sales of the legendary Mitsubishi have continued to grow since December 2020.

Also worth noting is that according to data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, MMPC sold just over 3,000 vehicles last month. That means the L300 accounted for about a third of the company’s sales in March.

“We are truly happy that the L300 is performing well during these trying times. We believe that the sales performance of its segment is a reflection of how well the economy is recovering given that the primary use of the vehicle is for business,” said MMPC president and CEO Mutsuhiro Oshikiri. “The continuous patronage of locally produced vehicles like the L300 also helps the Philippine economy as it provides jobs to local talents and generates substantial revenue for the country. Our customers can rest assured that the L300 is highly dependable, and we are committed to providing excellent service to deliver convenient ownership experience.”
