Nissan Philippines already resumed dealership operations in various general community quarantine (GCQ) areas across the country earlier this week. Along with the reopening of its showrooms and service facilities, the Japanese carmaker is also rolling out some new safety guidelines to ensure the safety of both its clients and personnel.
Under this ‘new normal,’ temperature checks and physical distancing will be implemented within Nissan’s facilities, and only a limited number of customers at a time will be allowed inside. Showrooms and service areas will likewise be sanitized and disinfected regularly. These measures will also be observed for sales operations such as product demos and test drives, as well as for other services such as roadside assistance and vehicle maintenance and deliveries.
Dealership personnel are also required to wear safety equipment like face shields, face masks, and plastic gloves within the workplace at all times—Nissan will provide these for its employees. Meanwhile, customers will be given complimentary gloves and face masks upon entering Nissan establishments. Nissan has also clarified that customer appointments will be prioritized over walk-ins, so you might want to schedule your trips accordingly.
“Even though we are entering a ‘new normal’ as an effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, our commitment to provide excellent customer service and experience remains the same,” said Nissan Philippines president and managing director Atsushi Najima. “Our priority right now is to keep our customers and employees safe and healthy in our dealerships through these guidelines.”
