Nissan PH is recalling cars due to defective airbags

Nissan Philippines is urging some of its customers to bring in their cars for repairs because of defective Takata airbags. The company is calling this a part of a "global service campaign" for a handful of its vehicles, and the following models are potentially affected by the issue:

*Grand Livina (2008 to 2014)

*Navara (2007 to 2014)

*Frontier (2003 to 2008)

*Teana (2006 to 2007)

*X-Trail (2003 to 2012)

*Patrol Super Safari (2003 to 2012)

If you own one or more of the cars above, the manufacturer is encouraging you to make sure your unit isn't part of the recall. To find out, simply head on over to the Nissan website, select the 'owners' tab, click on 'service campaign,' and input your vehicle or chassis identification number.

The next step, if your car is affected at least, is to call the Nissan Customer Assistance Center (0927-600-9557) or visit a dealership.
