Did you wake up this morning to find your beloved ride covered in volcanic ash? Don’t worry, you’re not alone.

The ashfall from yesterday afternoon’s Taal Volcano phreatic eruption made its way to areas well outside the crater’s immediate 14km-radius evacuation zone, drenching cars as far as Quezon City and even Region III in icky gray ash.

Worried over how to go about dealing with your ash-covered ride? Local car manufacturers figured this to be the case, which is why many of them have gone and released initial maintenance and safety tips in the aftermath.

Almost all major car companies have released ashfall guidelines over social media, including Toyota Motor Philippines, Nissan Philippines, Kia Philippines, Isuzu Philippines, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, and Suzuki Philippines.
