The Qoros 3 has done what no other Chinese car before it could do, and that\'s to achieve a five-star rating overall in the latest round of Euro New Car Assessment Program crash tests.
According to Euro NCAP, the Qoros 3 received high scores in all four areas of assessment, with its adult occupant protection scoring 95% and its child occupant protection receiving 87%. The car\'s pedestrian protection feature registered 77%, while its safety assist system got 81%.
Based on the Euro NCAP\'s findings, the passenger compartment remained stable in both front and side crash tests, protecting even children in their safety seats by minimizing the likelihood of dangerous head contact with parts of the car\'s interior.
The Qoros 3\'s bumper also provided good protection to a pedestrian\'s legs, while the protection provided by the hood \"was mostly good or adequate.\"
The car\'s electronic stability control also reportedly met Euro NCAP\'s test requirements, while a driver-set speed limitation system supposedly also comes standard with the car.
The Qoros 3, as it is now known, was first reported as the Qoros GQ3 at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show last March.
