Back in February, we reported that the Autohub Group of Willy Tee Ten was bringing British car brand Lotus into the country this year. The time is almost here. In fact, the distributor now has a formal name: Lotus Cars Manila.
And according to a company official, the Lotus showroom will no longer be located in Bonifacio Global City, as we previously announced. Instead, it will be situated in Greenhills, San Juan, where a Mini store outlet currently stands. The official added that the Lotus showroom inauguration is set for August 5.
So close are we to the brand launch that actual Lotus units have already arrived. Lotus Cars Manila gave TopGear.com.ph a sneak peek at four sporty models (Elise S Club Racer, Elise 220 Cup, Exige S Roadster and Evora S Sport Racer) today. The company official, however, requested that we show only detail shots of the cars as they don't want to preempt the public display happening this weekend.
That's right: Lotus Cars Manila is showing off these cars on June 27 at the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater, from 10am to 7:30pm. This will coincide with Globe Telecom's "Slipstream 2.0" event featuring Lotus F1 Junior Team driver Marlon Stockinger.
So, if you want to see these Lotus sports cars in their sleek entirety, drop by BGC this Saturday. Bring the kids.
UPDATE: Lotus Cars Manila's showroom inauguration has been moved to August 6. According to our source, it's due to feng shui.
