The recent phreatic eruption of Taal Volcano was nothing short of a nightmare for those living south of the metro.
The ashfall that followed suit, apart from it being detrimental to people’s health, proved to be quite the problem not only for homeowners but for car owners as well. It was both destructive to car engines and such a chore to clean, to say the least.
Luckily for those of you whose cars are covered by Standard Insurance, you can avail of the company’s complimentary Post Ashfall Car Care Service as long as you have Acts of Nature included in your policy. The service includes interior and exterior detailing, engine washing, and checkup and cleaning of air resonators and air filters.
Standard Insurance first rolled out this offering on January 19, 2020, and now it has announced that this will be available until February 15, 2020. It has advised its customers to call its hotline to schedule the assessment and servicing of ashfall-affected cars.
“We’ve noticed that it’s only recently that affected customers are cleaning up and recovering from the impact of the Taal eruption. For this reason, we want to give them enough time to take care of their valuable assets; that is why we have extended the time for them to avail of the complimentary service,” says Standard Insurance head of claims Edena Enfestan.
