Automobile Central Enterprise, the new distributor of Volkswagen in the Philippines, today announced the introductory prices of the initial batch of cars it will launch this weekend. The announcement was made by ACE president John Philip Orbeta and sales/marketing head Arnel Doria at the Manila Polo Club in Makati during a roundtable with the motoring press.

According to Orbeta, the prices of the new Volkswagen vehicles are:

Volkswagen Jetta Trendline 2.0 TDI 5MT - P1,295,000

Volkswagen Touran Comfort Line 2.0 TDI DSG - P1,775,000

Volkswagen Tiguan Trendline 2.0 TDI 6AT - P2,109,000

Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 TDI V6 8AT - P4,290,000

The first batch of vehicles are all diesel as Volkswagen is still ironing out petrol issues in our market. The Beetle has no pricing yet as it will arrive in the first quarter of 2014.

During the launch on September 27 at Greenbelt in Makati, \"the main stars will be the cars,\" said Orbeta. \"This is the public\'s first opportunity to own German cars that are not priced like luxury vehicles.\"
