During the early days of COVID-19 lockdown, Volvo put out a simple message: “Right now, the safest place to be isn’t in a Volvo.” Simple and effective. Volvo Philippines even rolled out its Online Concierge a few months ago in order to assist owners and potential buyers online.
And now that we’re easing quarantine restrictions and slowly going back to the outside world, the Swedish luxury brand has announced that its newly renovated Makati showroom is safe and ready to welcome customers.
“We take your safety very seriously,” Chris Yu, Volvo Philippines marketing director says.“That’s why here in our showroom, we minimize physical contact.”
For people visiting the facility in the hopes of purchasing a Volvo, they can get details of the model on their phone simply by scanning QR codes attached to the vehicles. All units in the showroom are disinfected and sanitized every 30 minutes, so you won’t need to worry when you want to get inside to get a feel of the model you are eyeing.
All test-drive units go through a sanitation process as well, and the same goes for cars brought in for servicing. Owners are required to set an appointment before bringing in their vehicles to avoid overcrowding.
“Cars are driven by people, the guiding principle in everything that we do at Volvo must remain safety,” states Atty. Albert Arcilla, president and CEO of Volvo Cars Philippines.
