With more than 150,000 likes for its Facebook page, Kia Motors Philippines (Columbian Autocar Corporation) is tapping the social media by bringing the Korean carmaker's "A Different Beat" campaign to its customers and fans through the BeatPop and BeatMaker apps.
The Kia BeatPop is a puzzle game where players have to match three of the same-colored car characters within a certain time limit. The Kia BeatMaker, on the other hand, allows its players "to create their own distinct Kia beat."
The Kia BeatMaker starts with three basic sound effects: a car starting, a bass guitar and a bass drum. But players can make more complex beats by obtaining additional sound effects--like a piano or a car's rear-view mirror, hood or grille being struck--when they achieve a certain number of points on the Kia BeatPop app.
Kia Philippines' fans and customers can play with the Kia BeatPop until December 30. Meanwhile, they can create and submit their "distinct Kia beat" from November 19 until December 30. Six weekly winners will be selected via public voting with the one getting the most number of votes receiving a new iPad.
At the end of the campaign, a panel of judges will pick one final winner who will bring home a brand-new Kia Picanto.
According to Kia Motors Philippines, the winners will be announced on January 11, 2013.
