Lexus is set to unveil the GS 350 F-Sport at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas in November. The all-new Lexus GS sedan was launched last August.

According to Lexus, the GS F-Sport "was designed to engage driving enthusiasts with factory engineering and the ability to take performance to an entirely new level."

Making the GS F-Sport stand out from the standard GS is its exterior styling. It has a more aggressive front bumper with the air inlets on the outer edges of the lower grille functioning as cooling ducts. From the side, the tapered lower rocker panel, width-enhancing front and rear wheel arches, and 19-inch wheels give the car a more athletic, road-hugging wider stance. Meanwhile, the rear bumper's distinctive exhaust diffuser and centered aero fins help to control underbody airflow.

To complement the F-Sport's exterior, its interior features smooth striated aluminum trim, unique perforated leather trim, black headliner and aluminum pedals. For the driver, the F-Sport package has a new 16-way power sport seat that provides for increased lateral support, and comes with a Lexus-first power side bolsters, thigh support, adjustable seatback and four-way lumbar. Completing the GS F-Sport's uniqueness is its Cabernet Red leather interior.

Although the GS 350 F-Sport makes do with the regular GS's 3.5-liter V6 engine, Lexus upgraded its suspension system with aluminum front upper and lower control arms that employ larger bushings. The rear subframe has been completely redesigned to accommodate an all-new multi-link rear suspension, using improved suspension geometry that helps retain tire cornering force and enhances rear control.

"The all-new GS 350 with F-Sport package will offer our customers more agility and a sportier appearance," said Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager. "The racing-inspired F-Sport components were precision engineered for this vehicle, providing quality performance without compromise."
