CATS Motors, the official distributor of Chrysler vehicles in the Philippines, is launching at the Manila International Auto Show the 300C equipped with an all-new, state-of-the-art eight-speed automatic transmission.
According to Chrysler, the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission is designed reduce the gaps normally associated with upshifting and downshifting. Combined with the 292hp, 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, the 300C's passengers "will experience world-class levels of refinement due to small, evenly spaced ratios that provide quicker acceleration and smoother shifts."
The eight-speed automatic transmission of the 300C also comes with a Sport shift mode, which makes gear changes quicker and holds the engine revs higher for even more performance-oriented acceleration and higher shift dynamics. For added control, the driver can use a pair of die-cast steering-wheel-mounted paddle controls and view gear selection through an all-new full-color electronic vehicle information center located in the instrument cluster.
The Chrysler 300C was also named as a Top Safety Pick by the United States' Insurance Institute for Highway Safety after it received 'good' ratings in the front, side, rollover and rear crashworthiness tests.
The all-new Chrysler 300C with the eight-speed automatic transmission will be launched at the MIAS on March 29 and the public can view it at the World Trade Center Manila until April 1.
